The Allen Tower
The Allen Tower project featured a series of high-end custom doors that combined architectural elegance with precision craftsmanship. The scope included twelve ballroom doors, each detailed with reeded paneling, offering visual rhythm and texture throughout the event space. A double-door entry system for the Thompson Hotel was also fabricated, incorporating a radial reeded transom that flowed seamlessly into the vertical door paneling, complemented by brass hardware set against rich walnut, creating a bold yet refined first impression.

The centerpiece of the project was a pair of reverse barn doors, each weighing over 550 pounds and together spanning more than 13 feet wide and 10 feet tall. These monumental doors were built and installed in place, requiring absolute precision. A custom slimline overhead track and center flange guide system were designed and fabricated specifically for this application, enabling near-seamless, balanced movement despite the scale and weight of the doors. This solution maintained clean architectural lines while delivering robust functionality in a space where aesthetics and performance were equally critical.
Adjacent to the Level 7 entry of the Thompson Hotel within Allen Tower, Sol7 bar and restaurant offers a refined take on mid-century nostalgia. At the bar, a custom-fabricated trim was designed to evoke the iconic edge detail of a classic diner tabletop—reimagined at an architectural scale. Measuring 3 inches in height, the trim was meticulously crafted, polished, and installed to create a bold, tactile finish that balances retro charm with contemporary sophistication.
