​Paseo Benches

In the center of the Montrose Collective resides a beautiful breezeway for patrons to congregate. The Paseo Benches were built from precision-cut components in which were shaped to follow this complex helical angle, while the bench ends were hand-carved to achieve a refined finish with artisanal detail.  Near the ends of the benches the boards are more vertical, where near the center, the front and back of the benches are much more tapered. The precision of the drawings, templates, internal structure of the benches as well as the clean lines made this project an incredible and fun challenge. The woods surface was treated with a penetrating natural oil finish, enhancing the grain and providing protection without obscuring the texture.
