Katz’s Deli

To-Go Counter
Crafted from a combination of white oak plywood and solid white oak hardwood, this counter serves as the visual and functional centerpiece of the deli’s to-go area. The front face features reeded architectural glass, adding texture and light diffusion while maintaining privacy behind the service area. The body rests on mid-century-inspired tapered legs, giving the piece a light, residential aesthetic despite its robust storage capacity. Joinery was concealed to maintain a clean, modern silhouette. |

Host Stand
This stand was fabricated from welded steel and painted in an off white to match the interior palette. It features two reeded glass front doors, adjustable leveling feet for floor variability, and solid white oak handles. Internal compartments were designed for menu storage and quick-access organizational needs, balancing visual restraint with high-traffic utility. |

Comment Box
A compact yet refined feature, the comment box was built from solid white oak and matte black-painted plywood, combining warmth with contrast. Brushed stainless steel lettering was applied to the face, with a clean sans-serif type for clarity and brand consistency. A cam lock ensures secure access for staff while maintaining a minimal exterior profile. |

Hanging Signage
The overhead sign was constructed from stained white oak plywood, chosen for its tonal harmony with other fixtures. It features brushed stainless steel cut lettering, matching the material language of the comment box. The sign is suspended by light-duty chains from the ceiling, giving the impression of a floating plane while delivering clear, directional information to patrons. |
