​This custom farm-style picnic table was crafted from hand-selected, rot-resistant cypress, chosen for its durability and natural character. The table was sealed with an exterior-grade finish to protect it from the elements while preserving the wood’s rich grain. To ensure long-term structural integrity and weather resilience, a custom metal plate joinery system was employed—designed to provide exceptional lateral strength with minimal visual footprint. The design also elevated all wood components off the ground, allowing for proper airflow and moisture control while accommodating the natural expansion and contraction of the wood through seasonal changes.
